After giving it a quick examination finding all keys working I am pleased with the product. I'm using this as an emergency backup keyboard in the event that my wireless keyboards should malfunction.

Purchased this to use with my Raspberry Pi 5. Works great. Don't need a large regular keyboard and this works perfectly for me. I would recommend it for those not needing a standard one with separate numbers, etc

In case anyone else is in the same boat and was wondering, yes, you can pop the top of this off and swap it onto your Raspberry Pi 400 if you (despite your best efforts to prevent it) have a freak accident that results in the original keyboard being full of Sprite. It's identical. As for Vilros, shipped quickly and easily with no fuss, so no complaints there.

I wanted to like it but the keys are just very stiff and feel unnatural. I need to hit them very hard to type anything without missing a key. On the plus side I really do love the colors and the USB hub.

Good solid keyboard for the money. Vikros shipping was quick and the item was well packed. Package arrived well before the scheduled time. I will order from Vilros again without hesitation.

For general internet browsing and email it is really good. I find the trackpad can lack sensitivity sometimes though.

Works perfect the size is better than expected ,a great addition to the pi..or any other system you want to sit back and control .And feels great in your hands .

Have to say it's made super cheaply. The plastic is meh at best. Fairly disappointed.

Good keyboard

Initially I'm suspicious to buy ..but they really impressed me with their quality and the best quality and they became my favorite

The case is more rugged than I expected. The included heat sinks are really nice. The keyboard didn't get shipped initially but they were really responsive when I let them know.

The keyboard is compact but the keys are spaced normally and the mouse is flat but it's beveled on the sides so it doesn't feel like it's gonna get away from you.

I run the Pi off of an 8A ONN battery pack from Walmart and it works great.

I like it but instead if using batteries to power the keyboard/mousepad, I connected alligator clips to the positive and negative battery springs and wired it to the the 3.3vdc and Ground GPIO pins on the Pi to power it! Now I just leave it powered on and when I turn on the Pi it all powers on, and I can leave the little switch hatch door closed.

The pi 4 and case are excellent. Only complaint is the keyboard doesn't have a back light for the keys and is not rechargeable. It's still worth purchasing though.

Thinking about replacing my old Win 8.1 desktop with this little box. All I have to do is convince my wife that it will be better for her. Swapped out the included keyboard/mouse with individual USB extras.

For new Linux users it is best to have a publication on hand to do a more in depth explanation of the command structure. After all the PI was designed for an educational environment.

We bought 12 for our IT program at CCC Hastings. Great keyboards and nice. I use one on.my Instructor PC in my classroom!

Fantastic!! This is the best keyboard and mouse I've used. Very comfortable and easy to use.

The keyboard is great. The mouse, after a few uses, I am starting to have problems with. Most of the time it doesn't respond. I even shut off all other bluetooth devices and changed the batteries to isolate the problem the the mouse itself. It mostly does not respond, when it does it is very jumpy, almost unusable. The optical sensor is not emitting any (red) light, not sure if it used to.

It's perfect size for kids and those with smaller hands! This could also make a great 'remote' keyboard/trackpad combo for use with a TV.

Some improvements could be an option to use wired-only (no dongle, no batteries), and add bluetooth to switch between multiple devices.

It works fine, but I wouldn't want to use it for any serious typing or work. It works fine on the rasperry pi, and it's small/light enough to throw in your backpack without noticing the burden. Requires 2x AAA batteries!

This piece has a lot of functionality, but the touchpad is so sensitive that I'm constantly going back or somewhere I don't mean to go. The buttons are nice and take a nice pressure to click, but there are three buttons below the touchpad, on the bottom of the piece, that are hard to avoid pushing with your thumb.

I bought one of these keyboards years ago, and it worked great! We used it for our media player for years and never really had a problem. Sadly it was lost, so i began my quest to purchase a replacement. I purchased four from Amazon, and one directly from Rii. They all appeard to be knockoffs with very short range and random clicking of the mouse and glitching the pointer all over the screen. This remote is very different. The range is great, the mouse pointer is pretty accurate and it just works. The keys and switches feel substantial, much like the original Rii. The keys on the knockoff keyboards always felt mushy and cheap to me. I like the new left mouse button on this keyboard, but the new page up and down buttons are placed poorly. You end up clicking page up or down while operating the mouse pad. I wish the led lights were red like the original Rii, the blue is very painful on the eyes in the dark. Overall I am pleased with this keyboard offered by Vilros, and it is cheaper than other sites as well. I will definitely be recommending these to my friends.

I love this keyboard. I works flawlessly with Raspberry Pis, has a convenient place to stow the USB dongle, and the trackpad speed and sensitivity are just right. It's a little more expensive than the Rii keyboards I used previously, but the latest version of the Rii is cheaply built and has jittery action on the trackpad that makes it impossible to place the cursor. Not the case with these from Vilros. You can easily use a text editor with any problems with this keyboard.

My 8GB Pi 4 is getting jelous of the attention my Pi 400 gets from me.
And both my Pi's 5 need improved housing, and also my trusty dusty Pi 3.
4 easy sells right there.

Those Pi400 "laptop" docks are too niche and pricey.

Free idea: give the next version of this hub slot-in or screw-in strips, so you can adapt this housing to any Pi model. Maybe even to Orange Pi's, Banana Pi's and a whole fruit salad of other boards.

Just a thought,to jeep re-issueing thisbaby top-of-mind with you :-)

It looks nice and works well. Most Pi boards fit it.

awesome like the folks at vilros

I like the Commodore 64 retro look of this case, but there are many flaws. It is basically the same as Vilros Wireless Keyboard/trackpad product "attached" to a larger box. Literally attached. The trap doors are not very convenient and are hard to open, but it looks great with the Pi3 or Pi4 inside without taking much space. The trapdoor to remove the Pi could also be easier to access, there are too many screws - in 2020 there are many other ways of doing it without any screws. But ok, overall, I love it. Would be nice to see a white/beige version of it :)

It is a case built around an existing keyboard/trackpad combo. I wanted to build a retro emulation computer, so for this use it's good, but the product description could be much more accurate. It doesn't even clarify the Pi versions that are compatible (3B+). If you want a case that looks like retro computers this will do, but it's nothing you'd be proud of later
