Vilros Magic Mirror is Magic after the Interior Electronics are Wired Together

I like it, it is easy to use, slap a Pi in there, install MagicMirror, and it works.
The only downside is that the electronics were not connected up. They either weren't connected when manufactured, or fell off during shipment. Tech support promptly emailed an image of where the connectors go.
All in all I am satisfied.

Fun project, could use more instructions.

I had some quality control issues. Screws and standoffs were not tightened enough to stay in place. Consequently they fell out of the box and into the carpet never to be seen again. They won’t send parts, only complete replacements. There are no instructions. There’s a video about how to attach a raspberry pi, that’s all. Installing software and actually getting it to work is all on you. Eventually I got it to work with an installation script I found in the magic mirror forum.

Incredible device with a few corners cut on stupid things

First let's talk about the device itself. The device itself is awesome. When I started looking at doing a magic mirror I looked at the many different ways of doing it. Any build it yourself solution had compromises. Finding the mirror, building the case, getting the hardware, etc. From a practical standpoint I couldn't build anything close to the quality of this device for the same cost, so the economics just made sense. If you have a pi setup, it is basically plug and play, with the pi getting power off of the mirror. Incredible! Looks great! Appears to operate great.

Now here is where it loses a star (and probably should lose more). While not expensive, it isn't cheap either. For less than a dollar more in production costs this would be a five star review. The electronics are lose in the mirror. I believe they're supposed to be either glued or screwed down. Nope, just floating lose. This is a problem, but not the worst one. The worst part is that the screws to attach and mount your pi are just floating loose in the body of the mirror itself. A 5 cent bag with the accessories (screws, stand-offs, etc) would have made a world of difference. Lastly not all of the screws, stand-offs, etc were included so the pi is mounted less securely than it should be. It is possible that they are still floating in the mirror or got stuck in a crevice on the internal electronics (which is a problem). This is such a weird oversight. Another review stated the same thing, but I thought that had to be a mistake, but it is not. Please fix this. It's a great product, but the delivery is half baked.
