Vilros Raspberry Pi 4 Compatible Passive Cooling Heavy Duty Aluminum Alloy Case

We have purchased nearly 20 of these cases. The case itself is quite good but please do some quality control on the supplied screws. They tend to break in half when screwing them in, even if you're as gentle as possible. This is not a fluke, it has happened on a number of these.

On one of the cases one of the holes was also drilled slightly wide so the screw cant latch on.

Used the aluminum case for a Pi-4B running PiHole.
The case fit like a glove with aluminum monuments sized to land correctly on the heat generating components on the circuit board.
A little thermal paste and the circuit board is running away happy as a clam with no need for a fan.
Yes - I will use this case again for other Pi-4 projects.

I'd been using the aluminum cases with a fan, which keep the CPU temp in the mid 30's C. I decided to try these non-fan cases to see how much hotter they run. I had an application in a more dusty area, and wanted to avoid the fan.
Installation is straightforward.
In the horizontal position, CPU runs 1-3 degrees C warmer than when in the fan case (w/heatsinks on chips). When wall mounted vertically, the CPU temp is only 1 degree C higher than in a case with a fan, more than acceptable.
These are good solid cases for use in less than pristine spaces. I use them for OpenVPN servers, Pi-Hole, and RasPBX applications.
