Perfect little Raspberry Pi for exploring DMR radio

I added a MMDVM hat to this and am using it as a DMR Hotspot. It took a little tinkering in pi-star to get it running, but it works great and now that it is setup I never have to touch it. I ended up buying a second one so I could keep a hotspot in my truck, and one in the house.

32 Bit - Si, 64 Bit No !!

The default software includes Firefox and Google Chrome HOWEVER unless you have all the time in the world fuggett about it. The 64 bit version software stumbles constantly. The 32 bit version is passable if you have the patience. I am beginning to accept the board's limitations and the more I come to terms with them the more I appreciate the little thing.
The worst problem was the CSI connector lockdown bar breaking which is very small and fragile. I haven't been able to locate a replacements yet. The CSI connector parts for the RPI 4 & 5s were relatively easy to source. I instituted a workaround by using several very small drops of rubber cement and kapton tape on both sides of the PC board and over the socket onto the ribbon tape.
The fix turned out to be quite strong. I think I'll buy another Zero w W - - - -

A great little computer but now much faster.

My experience with many purchases from Vilros are always prompt in shipping and delivery. Sometimes they are the only well stocked location in the U.S. I have the earlier models running 5 WiFi web cameras, a web controlled boom box that also transmits on it's own FM stereo channel and a flirc WiFi accessible IR remote control for the entertainment center. This new Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W may begin to replace my older standard Raspberry Pi's for faster motion detection and even one running a completely self contained home automation system for only $16! I'm sure I will find many other uses that the older Zero wasn't fast enough. Maybe a remote controlled RTL-SDR radio receiver or a VPN server. Raspberry Pi's are just cool to work with and this little gem shouldn't disappoint!

Pi zero 2W

Great versatile board in a compact footprint. I am throughly enjoying putting it in various configurations and uses. Quick delivery from Vilros. Great job! Can't wait for an updated more powerful revision of this board to come out. (Hint, hint )

Fantastic little device running Ubuntu

I got couple of these to see what it can do:
- Runs Ubuntu 22.04 flawlessly on 64GB microSDHC card - WiFi etc.
- You can run Pi-hole, web server, proxy or other services on it
- You can get a small kit with case, HDMI adapter, USB micro to A adapter (you may have it already)
- Runs great on an old phone Micro USB charger - USB power is the only thing you need
- Also runs for a whole day on a USB portable charger 10000 Mac
- You can't get the unit with GPIO headers already installed, so to avoid soldering work, you can use Pimoroni "hammer" headers
- Very simple to connect external LCD (2x16), temp/humidity sensors, switches, LEDs, pretty much anything
