Compatible with: Vilros Wave Case for Raspberry Pi 4
Installation steps
- Choose location: Select a wall location with access to power and network (if needed). Ensure adequate ventilation around the mounting area.
- Mark mounting holes: Hold the wall mount bracket against the wall and use a level to ensure it's straight. Mark the screw hole locations with a pencil.
- Install wall anchors (if needed): For drywall, use the included wall anchors. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations and insert anchors. For studs or solid walls, anchors may not be needed.
- Attach the bracket: Secure the wall mount bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it's level and firmly attached.
- Mount the Wave case: Attach your Raspberry Pi 4 (in the Wave case) to the wall bracket using the case's mounting holes or the bracket's clips/screws. Ensure the case is securely fastened.
- Connect cables: Connect power, Ethernet, HDMI, or any other required cables. Use cable management clips or ties to keep wiring tidy.
Safety & access
Safety considerations:
- Ensure the wall mount and screws are rated for the weight of the Pi and case.
- Do not mount near sources of heat, moisture, or direct sunlight.
- Leave adequate space around the mounted case for airflow and cooling.
Port access: The Wave case provides full port access while wall-mounted. Ensure the mounting orientation allows easy access to USB, HDMI, Ethernet, and power ports.
Maintenance: To remove the Pi for maintenance, disconnect cables and unscrew the case from the bracket. The bracket can remain mounted to the wall.
