    Very good buy. Cooling is very good. I love the metal case but it looses a star because wifi and especially bluetooth reception is poor and could be an issue for some.

    i used fujipoly thermal pads with 17.0 W/mK thermal conductivity for cpu and all other surfaces meant for the included thermal paste since i thought the included thermal paste had only 2.5 W/mK and it wasnt meant for gaps like the vilros case for cpu. my rpi cpu overclocked to 2ghz never goes iver 65 degrees celsius. so other than the fact that vilros should include hogh quality thermal pads instead if the thermal paste, i am satisfied with the purchase. however i dont see why you guys include low quality thermal paste and have such a wide gap between the cpu and contact point if the case especially when the other components are a much better and closer fit

    I have been pleased with my Raspb...

    I have been pleased with my Raspberry Pi 4 starter kit. I feel like I got good value for my money, and would recommend this to friends looking for their first Pi.

    The aluminum case looks nice is silent since it doesn't have a fan, and seems to be effective. While streaming Netflix, I have yet to see a CPU core temperature above 54C.

    This was my first Raspberry Pi and I had a couple of problems getting started I'll share for other potential customers:
    1. Get your Pi up and running before you mount it in the case. It's one less variable to worry about.
    1. If you are planning to use a microSD card larger than 32gb, make sure you explicitly format it to FAT32 before loading a boot image on it. This does not necessarily happen automatically using the Raspberry Pi Imager.
    3. I have had trouble with certain HDMI cables on my Raspberry Pi, even after adjusting config_hdmi_boost in config.txt. Switching do a different cable solved my problem.
    4. Make sure you remove the SD card and do a dry-fit in the case before applying the thermal paste.
    5. Getting Netflix to work takes some extra work, and you need to keep the Pi display set to 720p to prevent screen tearing.

    I purchased this kit primarily be...

    I purchased this kit primarily because of the all metal case with molded in heat sink protrusions to cool heat producing chips. I was disappointed that the case/heat sink protrusion that is intended to cool the CPU did not touch the top of the CPU but left a visible gap that the thermal grease supplied was not designed to fill. I used a silicone heat sink pad for to fill the CPU gap. Additionally the surfaces that would contact the top of the CPU and other chips where not flat and had paint on them, reducing their effectiveness, especially for the CPU. Even knowing the above I would consider buying this kit again. And I did like the power supply with the switch in the cable.
